20 days and counting!

We will be hard at work for all our last days! Please help your child by reviewing all the letters of the alphabet and the numbers from 0 to 100. We are working hard on writing our own books and it's helping improve their printing and work skills. We need to practice, practice, practice and we will be ready for Grade 1.

Last week before Easter break!

I hope the sun keeps shining and that the students can just change shoes and run out for recess soon! Please remember to call the school if your child will be absent for any reason(753-2375). We have worked with all letters except Q, Y and Z to date. Please practice all the letters(both capitals and lower case) and the numbers from 0 to 20 with your child during the break. Try some short vowel words(cat, run, jet, ham, cut, pig, hog, hit, rust, best, etc.) to have them blend their sounds together to read a word. Practice printing all the letters and the numbers too. If they have lots of time have them make their own book and they can read it to the class during our first week back(draw the pictures and print a simple sentence about their picture).
